Brand new stainless steel screw kit for Mikuni Super BN (38, 44, 46) Carburetors found on 1989-2003 seadoo 2 stroke PWCs [XP, GTX, SPX, SP, etc]. If your seadoo is a 2 stroke with 587, 657, 717, 787, or 951 engine, chances are this kit will work for your machine (message me if unsure). Please include year and model in notes section during checkout though, so i can ensure you get the right screw lengths for your exact machine.
Will not rust, will not strip (unless you let a gorilla install them). I guarantee it. These are high quality stainless screws, not a bunch of Chinese junk. If you have problems with this kit, don't find a noticeable decrease in swearing during your next carb rebuild, or just don't think its worth it-----just send it right back for a full refund.
Mikuni does a great job making carbs but why they chose to make the internal fasteners out of regular carbon steel makes no sense. If you have rebuilt seadoo carbs before, you know where I am coming from. Save yourself the trouble, spend a little money, and next time your carbs come apart there will be no rusty mess inside and you wont have to drill out seized/stripped screws, nor will you have to make painful trips across town to the various hardware stores looking for metric fasteners that they probably don't carry. And you wont have to worry about rust chunks clogging your jets. See last photo for a nice example of what happens to the original screws over time. This kit comes with all fasteners, internal and external, and appropriate washers to go with them. It just doesn't include jets, adjuster screws, or gaskets or anything like that....
1- Stainless Seat retaining screw - allen head
1- Stainless lock washer
1-Stainless Needle retaining screw- phillips head
1-Stainless Metering block check valve screw- allen head
1-Stainless Flat washer
2-Stainless Metering block retaining screws - allen head (the factory screws always strip due to a combination of corrosion and their phillips head, but these will have neither issue)
4-Stainless External Cover screw, metering side- allen head (the factory screws are stainless but strip due to phillips head being unable to handle removal torque)
4-Stainless External Cover Screw, fuel pump side - allen head (same as above, get rid of the phillips head)
4- Stainless Lock Washer
4- Stainless Flat Washer
23 pcs total, which will replace all fasteners on one carb. For a dual carb setup, you will need two kits. If you order 2 kits, please specify if its for a dual carb setup with only one fuel pump (single pulse line), as the side without a fuel pump will need shorter screws.
Put an end to the constant problem of stripped and corroded screws that you end up drilling out every time your carbs come apart. All external bolts are 4mm allen head that wont strip out under low torque like the factory phillips heads do.
Worried about installing yourself or getting your existing carbs apart and back together with confidence? Consider purchasing my dual carb rebuild service for around $120 and these will be included as part of the rebuild at no added cost. You will also get an ultrasonic cleaning, professional rebuild and setup, and paint/clearcoat on the carbs as well. You can find this item at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/182993651041
Contact me if interested or if there is a certain part you are looking for, as I have parts for several different Seadoos and often times have a good idea of which parts work with which skis. If you have your Seadoo torn down already, consider changing the fuel and oil lines while you have the chance, as these are the main cause of engine failure. See my other items for these kits and if you are looking to buy several items, call me and we can work out a deal. Blake: 989-492-8053
