    Description

    Auction is for a Firestone program from 1954.  This is from Gastonia, NC.  Apparently all the mills and plants in Gastonia had a city league.  This program is for the Firestone teams I think going to city league who would then compete in the city league.  It looks like the teams were from different departments, one from the carding team, one from the weaving team, one from the lab, etc.   A very unique and bittersweet item, a glimpse into the past world of the mill and plant companies and the community that grew up around them and are no longer.  I have one more of these  from 1956, also a bowling patch and a bowling compact that belonged to the lady's estate that bowled in this Firestone league.  I will be happy to combine shipping to save you money.  Thanks for looking!
