Navajo artist Victor Hicks created and designed this retro-style beautiful "Turquoise Sampler" sterling silver cuff bracelet. There are 9 turquoise stones from various mines. I will leave it to the turquoise experts to determine which mines are represented. Hicks is known for designing retro style Navajo jewelry. This is one of the most complex pieces I have seen of his work. He began making jewelry in the early 1980s. I purchased this bracelet from an art gallery/jewelry store in Madrid, New Mexico in approximately 2008. I estimate that it was created in the 1980s/1990s. I have only worn this bracelet a dozen times. The condition is excellent, but has an old school vintage/pawn appearance. Its rustic appearance is a large part of its charm. This bracelet is very unique. I have never seen another "Turquoise Sampler" piece of Native American jewelry. From my experience, people will notice it and remark on the variety of turquoise stones.
