Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise, coral Peyote bird chip inlay Sterling silver watch bracelet, hallmarked SD with star stamp by the Navajo artist. William Singer is a Navajo artist who is known for his chip inlay, but from what we know, his hallmark doesn't have the star stamp. William's brother, the late Tommy Singer, was credited as the creator of the chip inlay style. William has used many hallmarks since 1972, and SD is just one of them- all variations of identifiers of the Singer-Dodge family.
This lovely watch bracelet showcases a Peyote bird applique on each side of the cuff, beautifully stamped, etched, and inlaid with turquoise and coral chips. The shank was hand-stamped with little spheres down to the terminals, and so were the scallops that protect the watch keepers. This piece weighs approximately 80 grams, it's 1 3/8" wide, and about 5 3/4" around the inside, end to end, measured over the edge of the cuff. Add 1 1/4" for the gap. The keepers are in excellent condition; they look unused. The distance between the keepers is roughly 1",so keep that in mind when considering a watch. We highly recommend self-winding/automatic watches to avoid damaging the keepers with frequent watch removals for battery replacement. Superb silver and stone work on a heavy-gauge bracelet. Never been used.
Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
