    Description

    This is a real dried Thornback Ray! It measures about 15" long and is about 5 1/2" wide at the widest part of the body section. Lots of little spines ("thorns") along its back. The mouth area is about 1 1/4" wide. The jaw has lots of small teeth!  As you can see, this is one odd critter! Very cool yet odd specimen. Dried as seen in the photos. From an old collection of oddities, shells, etc. from the 1970s. I've had it over 25 years.
