This is a very nice reproduction. The fit is very good.  Overall it is an excellent replacement.  However, the chrome finish is scratched. If you are looking for a 100% perfect lens,
do not
buy this one. Buy this only if you can live with a few scratches.
Installation:
Installing the lens is a relatively easy procedure.  Minor adjustments might need to be made depending on your model.  During snowmobile production, the lens was attached to the toolbox before it was riveted to the tunnel.  This makes the installation easier then trying to install the lens to a toolbox that is already riveted to the tunnel.  One thing that will aid in installation is to make sure the foam pad in the bottom of the toolbox is clear of the cut outs the lens tabs go into.  Back in the day there was more then one vendor for the toolbox.  This made for slight variations in design.  This tail light lens has been made exactly like the original.  If you have difficulty installing to your snowmobile, please know this is due to the overall original design of the tool box and lens.  It is not because the lens is incorrect.
