Monthly Playlist: October
How is this month treating you? So far, I’m missing my husband and avocado. And rice. And cheese, now that we’re at it. Justin is working crazy hours and I’m on a very restricted diet while treating a stomach issue. But on a brighter note, I’m making progress on my to-do list, embracing my night owl and introvert tendencies, and enjoying that I have full control over netflix. I’m also about ready to go back our normal schedule, even though it’s nice shaking routine up a bit to examine what works and what doesn’t. As much as I’m appreciating my alone time, I'm also looking forward to sharing the little mundane parts of daily life again. Mornings and dinner and the bed. I’m not a fan of sleeping alone. But spending more time apart reminds me just how much I like us. I really do. Here’s to being present with what is, even if that means looking forward to what’s to come.
Since Halloween is coming and it’s a month of hocus pocus and woo woo, I thought that I would keep the playlist on theme. Well, not with Halloween music. Does that even exist? Forgive me, I’m Danish and I have no idea! So, no Halloween music, whether that’s a thing or not, but still plenty of mystical woo woo vibes. What we have here is a good mix of pling pling, like the amazing Ananda Shankar cover of The Doors’ Light My Fire and just plain good vibes. Most of these songs have been on heavy rotation with me for the last decade and a few are newer favourites. Let me know what you think and please share your favourite woo woo music with me!
