Monthly Playlist: November
It’s a bit gloomy around here and the temperatures are making it known that winter is rapidly approaching. It usually makes me a little gloomy too, but I’m looking forward to so many fun things this month and I’m getting pretty excited about the upcoming holiday season that it hasn’t really bothered me yet. I’m having a lot of fun preparing for Kindlefest, and I’m looking forward to a trip to Nashville for Thanksgiving and crossing my fingers that Justin’s work schedule is going to slow down a little bit so there’ll be some more time for holding hands.
It’s time for another monthly playlist. This one is rather low-key and an easy companion for work time and dinner prep. I recently heard a Band of Horses song at a coffee shop and it took me right back to study time in my little Copenhagen apartment and the little, old library at top of the building for the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, where I’d spend hours deciphering arabic words, trying to make sense of the texts and of my life.
What Devendra Banhart was to my high school time, Band of Horses was to those early college years. A few of those favourite songs, other heavy rotations from that time like Feist, Iron & Wine, and Damien Jurado, alongside some newer (to me) jams is what’s on this months playlist.
I hope you enjoy!
