Creamy Smoked Salmon Pasta


I made this Sunday night and oh, boy is it delicious! In Justin’s words “Yummy times a million” so I knew I’d have to share it here. The best part is that it’s a super quick and easy dish that tastes like you’ve spent a lot longer in the kitchen. A perfect date night or dinner party meal. Impress a special someone (or yourself!) this weekend and cook up this little number.


  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup of frozen peas

  • 2 cups of spinach

  • 1 piece of hot smoked salmon, chopped into bitesized pieces

  • 1/2 cup of cream*

  • pasta*

  • salt + pepper

  • parmesan cheese for serving

* I’ve made it with a bit of coconut milk one time when someone had used the rest of the cream I had planned on using for this. Let me tell you, it is still good but not as good. I want to try ricotta instead of cream for a bit of a lighter result.

* I really like brown rice/quinoa pasta so that’s what we usually have on hand but go ahead and use your favourite.


  • Put on water to boil for your pasta and cook as directed.

  • While your pasta boils, sauté peas and spinach in olive oil over medium high heat.

  • Once the spinach has wilted, remove the skin from the salmon, add bite sized pieces to the pan and let it heat through.

  • Add the cream and let it reduce slightly.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add cooked pasta to the pan and mix everything well.

Serve with parmesan cheese and a green salad on the side. Yum!
